What is the Deck Chair Naturalist

The Deck Chair Naturalist was created to assist cruise passengers in watching and identifying wildlife observed on the ocean. Was that large bird an albatross? Just what was that dark colored marine animal? I have spent, most enjoyably, the last 23 years as a naturalist on a variety of cruise ships and understand the frustrations and joys of trying to observe wildlife from a moving deck.   The DCN will also take a look at the best areas to observe wildlife and shore excursions that are truly worthwhile to take to view wildlife in its natural habitat.

WHO IS THE DECK CHAIR NATURALIST?
